3.21.10

Since I am despicably lazy - too lazy to go upstairs to scan what I finished yesterday - I am showing you something I did for someone else in the Moleskine exchange I mentioned in my last post.

Because you have excellent powers of deduction, you will have already noticed that these two pictures have a Christmas theme.

There are times as I go through this exchange (which is nearly finished!) that for the life of me, I cannot think of anything to draw or paint and so, I come up with these compliations of stuff. There is something very satisfying about these pieces since I love those 3D-type books for children where you get to play with the pages and open little envelopes or find notes tucked in somewhere.

I'm a sucker for all the scrapbooking supplies available but this piece also has a few vintage Christmas seals as well as a few little images from a catalog. Inside the handmade envelope is a note to the recipient since I've tried to write a little something to each person as I finished their book.

If you haven't tried to do one of these, let me encourage you to give it a shot. If you can use a pair of scissors and a glue stick, really you have just about everything that you need. I'd love to see what you come up with!

These are awesome! So what if they're from Christmas! I'd love to try making some of these. If I start now, they'll be ready for Christmas LOL!!!

Revelle~ You should! They don't take nearly as long as you think they would & I'd love to see what you come up with. How about something for Spring or Easter??? ;)

I love making stuff like this. Your is so cute! I have only put them in journals that I have made. I for the life of me can't figure out what I save the Moleskine for. Funny how we think.
