4.8.10

We went for a pre-Easter Chinese dinner last weekend and the chopsticks wrapper always make me laugh. I have yet to figure out what "glonus" history is, but I always enjoy my nice Chinese food with chopsticks.

Actually I have no room to make jokes. Heaven only knows what my poor attempt at copying Chinese writing actually says.

And now you can pick up anything they say.... not so sure about that! But your drawing is wonderful. What a fancy wrapper. The ones I have are always rather bland . Thanks for sharing

Oh my gosh! You made me laugh right out loud with that last line! I can barely manage a fork so attempting chopsticks would be like eating with my toes for me. Better left to those with grace and elegance. Love the journal page!

Great page. Humor is good anywhere as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. When I lived in Japan for a couple of years there was a lot of misunderstandings in the language and it was almost always good for a laugh (usually at my expense)! My attempt at using chopsticks ended with rice on our kitchen ceiling. Thank goodness there wasn't any company!

What a fun sketch. I like the design along the top and the instructions could be very useful, especially to me!

Well, I think it looks great too! I don't read Chinese, so I can't tell you if you said what you wanted, but heck, it looks good!

The only chinese letter on the paper is the Double Happiness symbol ^^ But great job illustrating all that and of course, for using the chopsticks too!

Thanks everyone!

Alex, I copied it directly from the wrapper. I did recognize Double Happiness, but there was also writing on each of the little lanterns which I obviously did not copy well -OR- those don't actually say anything & just look pretty. I'm going with "I did not copy well." At least I didn't say anything obscene or offensive in Chinese without meaning to. ;)
